Diploma
If you are planning in undertaking an NHS funded diploma course you will recieve a non-income assessed bursary. This is a flat maintenance grant with no contribution required from the you (the student) or your family. Currently the amount starts at around £6,372 (£7,443 in London) and the NHS pays the tuition fees on the students behalf. The amount you will may vary depending on circumstances, eg, if you have children, you may be elligible for extra allowances. In addition you will be able to claim travel cost which you incur during clinical placement.
Degree
If you are planning in undertaking and NHS funded degree course you will recieve a means tested bursary. Your tuition fees are paid, but the grant allowance you recieve will depend on your income of that of you partner or parents.
